Hello there! Are you looking for something to read or to watch in this super hot summer (or cold winter, depending on where you are now)? Check out my latest obsessions and tell me yours in the comments! Also don’t forget to become a fan of my Facebook page Jumbleskine :)
Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares – David Levithan & Rachel Cohn // link
I absolutely love how these two writers work together. Their voices are original and merge perfectly. I fell in love with them during my first year of high school with the book Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist. That story might be about music, but this is all about books. And bookshops and book quotes, Christmas and underdogs in New York with weird families and a little notebook that contains more than they’ve never said to anyone they know.
If you love books and you want a light, cute and funny story, this is for you.
Sense8 (Netflix Original Series)
Netflix just keeps surprising me. In Perù Netflix exists (not in Italy) and they even have a one-month free trial, so I decided to do it and watch every possible tv show my schedule could allow me to watch.
Netflix describes Sense8 as “8 strangers from cities around the globe begin having experiences that defy explanation”. They can see each other, they can use the others’ abilities to save themselves from difficult situations, they can feel what the others are feeling.
Sense8 became after a few episodes one of the best shows I have ever seen. A masterpiece.
House of Cards (Netflix Original Series)
Like Game of Thrones but in the present world. Politics, sex, power, everything you need to keep you glued to your tv or laptop for hours. Francis (Frank) and Claire are a power couple that you need to see.
Other shows I’ve been watching:
– Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
– Drop Dead Diva
– Cougar Town
Hello everyone! Do you remember when I said I was going to go to London this summer? I had a weird feeling so I decided not to and after a while I was offered the opportunity to travel to Lima, the capital of Peru (South America), where I was born.

I finished all my exams. Gosh that feels good. With no more to study and just a thesis to write for November, I am finally free. At the beginning wandering around the house with no imminent purpose, I then woke up from my short existential crisis and started to catch up with some of the series I had abandoned in all of these months.

Ladies and gentlemen (but especially ladies I think), I should be studying now. I have an exam tomorrow. Instead I’m sitting here writing and on the verge of pressing that “play” button to watch an episode I have waited for a long time. Who knows me well knows that I love a show called My Mad Fat Diary, and who knows me well have probably already watched it because I basically convinced almost every good friend I have to watch it. I’m not even a little bit sorry, since every one of them loved it. I want to be honest, I’m a little bit scared of what I’m going to watch, because who waits a long time for a book, a movie or a tv show to come out knows well the feeling of being disappointed by something you like so much.
I’m already disappointed by the fact there are only three episodes *cries in a corner*.

I know she’s first of all a book character, but I really like the version given by the BBC in, of course, The Musketeers. I’ve tried to put together a list of reasons why Constance Bonacieux is a legitimate role model and badass.

And the tv shows to watch are…
Marvel and DC Universe:
A blind martial-arts-expert lawyer decides to fight crime. Cute as a puppy, sexy as hell, good-hearted, intelligent, Matt Murdoch has it all. So much that he is basically all over my Tumblr. The series is very dark and with a lot of violence, so if you’re looking for something funnier and lighter, go for The Flash.

British tv series – crime drama – 2 seasons

If you like to watch Youtube videos you probably have seen March favourites everywhere, but here’s my own version. One item per category.

After a while the curvy phenomenon emerged (I talked about it here) I started noticing the reverse flow: people now were insulting/degrading thinness. It was absurd, I thought.
It was the same shaming process, just with a different target.
